Sunday, May 7, 2017

The Toronto Blue Jays will call up pitcher Mike Bolsinger to start Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Indians, while Aaron Sanchez starts a game in extended spring training the same day, reports Sportsnet’s Mike Wilner.

Bolsinger will make his Blue Jays debut and he’ll become the ninth pitcher to make a start for the team this season. Toronto only used seven starters in 2016.

The 26-year-old has appeared in four games for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons this season, posting a 1.46 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 12.1 innings.
