Ex-IPL boss Modi leaks Dhoni’s appointment letter from India Cements

Former Indian Premier League (IPL) czar Lalit Modi on Monday leaked the offer letter of ex-Indian skipper MS Dhoni’s employment terms with former BCCI President N Srinivasan’s company India Cements. Sharing the letter on Instagram, Modi questioned the motive behind such employment considering the fact that Dhoni earns approximately Rs 100 crore in a year.

According to the letter, Dhoni was given the position of VP (Marketing) at India Cements, with a basic pay of Rs 43,000 per month, along with a dearness allowance of Rs 21,970, and also a special pay of Rs 20,000. The document also entitles Dhoni to Rs 20,400 as house rent allowance (HRA) when he is stationed in Chennai. He will also get a special HRA of Rs 8,400, if he is in Chennai, and Rs 8,000 if elsewhere.
